Disney Movie Night

Tonight it's "Dumbo", with hot dogs, nachos, and cotton candy. I also surprised the girls with a Dumbo book and necklace. I think this has been our favorite movie night so far.

Movie Night

Last night we had our weekly, or try to do weekly anyways, movie night. The girls picked Princess and the Frog so I fixed Jambalaya with it. If you aren't familiar with Princess and the Frog, the main character, Tiana, wants to open a restaurant in New Orleans and fix Jambalaya and Gumbo. It is a super cute movie! One of our favorites! I have never fixed Jambalaya before and wasn't sure if any of us would like it, but it was so good! I served it with cornbread and beans. Yummy! I'm thinking next week we might do Dumbo for our movie night. I can make that one fun! =)

A Bugs Life

Last night we had a Disney movie night. I had originally planned on doing one a week a few months ago, but that didn't work out. I am hoping since our trip is only 13 weeks away that we can start doing one once a week.
Our movie this week was "A Bugs Life". There is a 3D film at the Animal Kingdom of a it that is so cute! It is one of my favorite things about that park.
I couldn't think of a theme for the food, so we did Bug Juice and sour gummy worms. The girls enjoyed it.

Avengers

In 2009 the Walt Disney Company bought out Marvel, so now all the Avengers are a part of Disney. Everyone in my house are huge superhero fans, so we are very excited about this!

Avengers came out on DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday and I grabbed it this morning for my husband. Looks like we will be having movie night tonight at our house. My favorite Avengers character is Thor, Nathan's is Iron Man, Abby's is the Hulk, and Baylee's is Iron Man. I have a feeling she will probably like Black Widow after watching this movie. :)

Finding Nemo 3D

I took my daughters to see Finding Nemo in 3D today. It is one of our very favorite Disney movies and we have been looking forward to it for a while now. I was a little disappointed in it though, I was expecting the 3D features to be really amazing and they weren't, at all. My husband said it was because that movie wasn't made to be a 3D movie. Monster's Inc comes out in 3D in a few months and we will probably end up skipping that because it will be the same thing.
After we watched Nemo the girls decided to they needed to get some fish of their own, so we are now the owners of a gold fish named Cowgirl and a beta named Coral.

 

Someone just couldn't contain how excited she was to see Nemo!
