Once Upon A Time

Last year the girls and I got caught up watching Once Upon A Time. It comes on ABC at 7:00pm Central time. The characters in Once Upon A Time are Disney characters and it is a mystery type show. It is really good, maybe a little dark for kids, but I let my kids watch it. :)
A group of fairy tale characters have been pulled from their world into ours by the Wicked Witch after she casts a mysterious and powerful dark curse, taking her revenge upon Snow White and all of the rest. They have taken up residence in the town of Storybrook and have no memory of who they were, how they were all connected, or who they loved or hated in that other life.

 

We are so excited because the new season starts TONIGHT! If you need a good Sunday night show to watch, you should check it out. I highly recommend it!

Frankenweenie

Frankenweenie is a new Tim Burton/Disney productions movie that is coming out next weekend. We love Tim Burton movies and this movie looks really good.
Subway came out with reusable Frankenweenie bags with glow sticks and the girls have been begging for us to take them to get them. We all love Subway, so any excuse to go there is good for me. :) Yesterday we decided to stop by Subway before heading to the high school football game. My girls love their bags!

Wrapping paper

I have been doing Christmas shopping since January. As soon as we booked our trip I started grabbing things when I found them on sale, so my closet is piled with things for Christmas. I found some really cute Disney Christmas wrapping paper at the Dollar Tree, they also had some boyish wrapping paper. I might go back and get some of it to wrap my husbands gifts in, haha!

Avengers

In 2009 the Walt Disney Company bought out Marvel, so now all the Avengers are a part of Disney. Everyone in my house are huge superhero fans, so we are very excited about this!

Avengers came out on DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday and I grabbed it this morning for my husband. Looks like we will be having movie night tonight at our house. My favorite Avengers character is Thor, Nathan's is Iron Man, Abby's is the Hulk, and Baylee's is Iron Man. I have a feeling she will probably like Black Widow after watching this movie. :)

Penny Press

Today the girls decorated their containers for the penny press machines at Disney World. I love being able to have them do stuff like this and them not have any clue that we are going to Disney soon. They think everything we are doing is to get ready to go maybe next summer.
When I picked them up from school I had them each a drink and a tube of the mini m&m's for their snack, healthy I know, haha! I bought a couple packages of princess stickers and let them decorate anyway that wanted. When deciding on colors of things we usually do green stuff for Abby and blue for Baylee because of their eye color. :) So Abby's is the green container and Baylee's is the blue one. I went ahead and filled them up and layered them with 2 quarters and 1 penny so it would be easy for them to separate at the park. You have to put 2 quarters in and your penny and when you do it you'll get a pressed Disney penny.

Interesting Information

Walt and Roy Disney are brothers, Roy has a daughter named Abigail and Walt has a daughter named Diane. My little Abigail Diane and I both thought that was very cool!

Letters to Villains

Tonight the girls decided to write letters to their favorite villains. Abby picked Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and Baylee picked Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
A few months ago they wrote letters to their favorite Disney characters and received postcards in the mail from them. I really hope they get something from Maleficent and Ursula.

Minnie Halloween Wreath

 

 

I have never used deco mesh before, but decided to make a Halloween wreath out of it. It was so easy to do. I think it turned out pretty good.

More Halloween Finds

Here are a few more things that I found at Walgreens. My girls love these. The pumpkin lights up with a clear light and the ghost changes color, they are both so pretty at night.

Walgreens Halloween Finds

Walgreens is one of my absolute favorite stores to shop at for Disney items. This weekend I racked up on some Disney Halloween things. I got a Minnie and Mickey pumpkin, a Minnie witch that hangs up, Minnie and Mickey window clings, a Mickey candy treat bowl, and all of my kids goodies for their Halloween buckets.
The one thing I was going in there for was a 3 foot tall inflatable Mickey pumpkin that I had seen last week, but didn't get it, of course they were ALL gone.
Our next Disney World trip will be at Halloween time in 2 or 3 years. I think that would be the best time to go. If I were not in school we would be going this year during Halloween. I want to take my girls when they are still little enough to dress up in their Halloween costumes and do the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

99 days today!

 

 

 Double digits until we leave for WDW!!!

We are only 99 days away from our vacation!!

As a major planner, most of the details of our vacation have already been worked out. Flights scheduled, dinning booked, outfits bought. Our Disney World package has been booked since January. But then there is the packing, prepping, making sure the dog and fish are taken care of while we are gone, etc.

For me, it is so exciting to plan a Disney vacation.

Now, if the time would just go by faster. 99 days, 98 days, 97, 96, . . .

100 Days

So, so, so EXCTIED!! We only have 100 days until our Disney trip! When you start at 335 days, 100 doesn't seem that far away, haha!!

 

 

Halloween Cookies

Today my youngest daughter and I stumbled upon Mickey and Cinderella Halloween cookies and couldn't pass them up. They also had Cars Halloween cookies, but she was not interested in those at all, lol.

Shuttle Endeavour

 

 

Shuttle Endeavor flew over Spaceship Earth Wednesday as it made it's way to a museum in Los Angeles. I would have loved to have seen this!!

Finding Nemo 3D

I took my daughters to see Finding Nemo in 3D today. It is one of our very favorite Disney movies and we have been looking forward to it for a while now. I was a little disappointed in it though, I was expecting the 3D features to be really amazing and they weren't, at all. My husband said it was because that movie wasn't made to be a 3D movie. Monster's Inc comes out in 3D in a few months and we will probably end up skipping that because it will be the same thing.
After we watched Nemo the girls decided to they needed to get some fish of their own, so we are now the owners of a gold fish named Cowgirl and a beta named Coral.

 

Someone just couldn't contain how excited she was to see Nemo!

Baylee is 5!!

Today this precious little girl is 5!!

 

I just can't believe it! She is funny, independent, dramatic, witty, loving. There is never a dull moment in our lives with her around. Family, friends, and even strangers adore her. She captures hearts wherever she goes.

Everyday is wonderful in her eyes and that makes my days more wonderful too

I love you, Baylee. I love your sass and your heart. I love your creativity and imagination. I love your love for all things Disney. :) I love imagining who you will become and what you will accomplish in life. More than anything though, I love how much you love God. Happy birthday, sweet girl of mine! Your mommy adores you!

 

Disney Activities

I had seen on another blog, that they did 100 Disney activities, leading up to their Disney vacation. All though my girls don't know about our upcoming trip, they do know that we will be going back sometime, so we will still be able to do several activities and them not have a clue they are for our trip. We are getting closer to the 100 day mark, so as soon as that hits I'll start our activities. So excited!!

Minnie Stroller

I bought a really cute Disney princess stroller for my youngest daughter, who will be almost 5 1/2 when we go on our trip and ended up selling it because I found this precious Minnie stroller that I liked better. She hasn't rode in a stroller in a couple of years, but I'm afraid her little legs wouldn't be able to keep up at Disney, plus it'll give us a place to put all of our bags and things.

When we went in June of 2009, we took a BIG double stroller and had the worst time with it. On the first night one of the wheels popped off, so we had it rigged the entire trip and every now and then it would pop off in the middle of walking. Poor Nathan was responsible for keeping up with it on the buses and monorail. I'm so glad we don't have to deal with it this trip. No diaper bags, no diapers to change, and no BIG double stroller.....nice. :)

4 months from today!

In 4 months from today, we will be in the most magical place on the earth! When you start your countdown at 12 months, 4 doesn't seem that long, lol. This has been the hardest secret I have ever had to keep!
